Scrabble Tile Pendants

Years ago I stumbled across some scrabble tile pendants on Etsy and totally fell in love. I bought a tutorial (only later to find a free one online... oh well) and proceeded to make TONS of them. I sold close to 100 at a craft fair, to friends and family, and in my etsy shop. Now, those of you that don't know me should know that I have a healthy (or unhealthy depending on your definition) dose of ADD and OCD when it comes to crafts. I typically get obsessed with something... make a ton... and then move on to the next thing that pops into my head... make a ton... and the cycle continues :) Long story short, I'm cleaning out my stash! I have a few (or more than a few) scrabble tile pendants left and I'm adding them to my Art Fire shop... buy one get one free! That's right ladies and gents! Head on over to the shop and get them while supplies lasts!

I still have tons of supplies for these... so now the question is make more or sell the supplies?

Fruits & Veggies!

What do you give a dietitian who is having a baby? A fruit and veggie tag blankie of course! Three of my contractors are having babies in July (remind me NOT to drink the water when I'm in Tucson!).
Obviously, ( I hope it is obvious)... one is F, one is M, and one is TBD.

Contest!

I'm doing my first giveaway! All you have to do is “share” something from my Facebook page with your friends and leave a comment on this post telling me what you shared. I’ll randomly select a number (using a random number selector of course!) on Friday. The winner will receive the clips pictured. Multiple entries will be accepted.

Letterpress

I saw the Lifestyle Crafts Letter Press kit at Hobby Lobby about a year ago and I have wanted it ever since! Unfortunately, this was right in the middle of wedding planning so the last thing I could do was pick up a new craft (time and money). Surprisingly, paper crafts is the one craft I never got in to (aside from a summer of scrapbooking in 9th grade). I figured I could use this kit to pretty up all of my packaging, thank you cards, etc. I would like the whole shopping experience to feel hand-made.

I have the most wonderful MIL who not only gave me the Letter Press Kit for Christmas… but also a Sizzix! I played around with it immediately and was quickly covered in ink. So I put it away until I could afford some of the accessories that are supposed to make the whole process (and clean up) easier. I had my first sale on ArtFire the other day so I thought I better get started and get at least the thank you’s done. Here is how it turned out:

Not bad! I need to make a few adjustments… it didn’t emboss quite as much as I would have liked, and the purple needs to be darker, but for the most part I am pleased!

It's been 8 months...

That can only mean one thing... it is time for a post apologizing for not posting and promising to post more frequently. Well there you have it :)

In other news... I added actual items to my ArtFire shop. I know... wow... that is a huge step :) That baby has been empty for... well I don't even know how long... but I do know it has been a LONG time.

That is all for now :)

Unpacked... finally.

The new craft room is up and running! I finally bought a bookcase so I could unpack everything. I had my heart set on finding some awesome vintage looking bookcase that I could paint some crazy color but had to settle for IKEA. I had a really hard time finding time to hit the garage sales. I may still try and find something, but at least I can get to all my supplies now. It's not much (and please ignore the few piles), but here it is so far...

My future Father-in-law bought me that sweet ass desk from a retailer that was going out of business. I think it used to sell Levi's or something like that. Either way... it is solid and awesome.

Next step... decorate. I don't know about you, but tan just doesn't scream creativity.
